Ash Phrixus (new mix)

about

Here we have a brand new mix of Ash Phrixus which will replace the existing one on Barkston Ash, unless there is heaps of protest :)

The existing mix that you can still hear on the album lacked something, and so, the last few weeks have been spent adding some gloss, sorting out a few things and embellishing with some more vocal textures.

The result, it must be said, is far superior, and the track will be able to sit alongside its companions much more proudly. Reworking it was also an opportunity to try out some Arp Quadra and some Polymoog sounds which helps place this in a sonic soundscape which might not have been too out of place in 1978!

See what you think, and if everyone is happy, it will replace the existing mix, after which the album will be pushed for review and more promotion.
